Meet the Artist

I’m Alyssa, the creative force behind the world of DawnStarLightning, LLC.

My artistic journey began on a small farm in rural Wisconsin. Growing up I was immersed in the beauty of the natural world. Every day I got to experience the sunlight streaming through the trees of our old growth forest, the vivid sunsets against the barn and forest as day shifted to a field of stars, and the loving zoo of animals my family had over the years. From raising cattle and chickens, to our pet dogs, cats, goats, and geese. There was never a dull moment.

I was always surrounded by the nurturing presence of my parents who fostered my creativity and supported my endeavors. My older brother introduced me to the world of fantasy through anime and Dungeons & Dragons, igniting my passion for all things nerdy and imaginative. His influence has left a lasting mark on my art, blending fantasy with the whimsical and joyful elements that define my style.

In recent years, my husband has become my rock and my greatest supporter. His unwavering encouragement and practical help, from creating display pieces to designing shadow boxes, have been instrumental in bringing my artistic vision to life. Together, we create not just art but a shared journey of creativity and support.
